Supplier price monitoring for procurement teams

Buyers of components, MRO supplies and production-line parts often find out about price increases at reorder time. PriceSentinel checks the public supplier and distributor pages you choose and tells you what changed.

What you can use it for

  • Track supplier price changes

Watch the public list prices on the product pages you buy from and get an alert when a price changes.

  • Watch stock and lead times

Where a distributor shows stock levels or lead times on a public page, we record changes so you see shortages coming.

  • Catch increases before you reorder

A weekly digest lists every change on your watched parts, so you can review prices before raising a purchase order.

  • Benchmark quotes

Compare a supplier quote against current public list prices for the same or equivalent parts at other distributors.

How it works

  1. Send us the public product pages for the parts you buy (manufacturer part numbers on distributor sites work best).
  2. We check them politely once or twice a day, respecting each site鈥檚 robots.txt.
  3. You get alerts and a Monday digest of price, stock and lead-time changes.

Honest limits

  • We only read prices shown publicly without a login. Contract prices, account-specific prices and quote-only prices cannot be tracked.
  • Some distributor sites block automated access or load prices with JavaScript. If we can鈥檛 read a page, we tell you rather than guessing.
  • PriceSentinel is independent and not affiliated with any distributor. Some distributors offer official APIs or data feeds, which may be a better fit for high volumes.
