Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of PriceSentinel (the "Service"), available at pricesentinel.ai. The Service is provided by [TODO: legal entity name, e.g. company or sole-trader name] ("we", "us"), trading as PriceSentinel. When you use the Service or buy a subscription, your contract is with us.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you continue to use the Service after we update them, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Purchases are also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

3. The Service

PriceSentinel is software that checks publicly available web pages you choose for changes to prices, promotions, stock and wording, and sends you alerts and digests. Plan features and limits are listed on our pricing page. Results depend on what third-party websites publish. We do not guarantee that every price or change will be detected, or that third-party data is accurate.

4. Subscriptions, payment and cancellation

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions, billed in advance in USD through Paddle, plus any applicable taxes. They renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the link in your Paddle receipt or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. We will give you notice of any price change before it applies to your next renewal.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to: (a) break any law or regulation; (b) commit fraud, send spam or engage in deceptive practices; (c) infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights; (d) monitor pages that are not publicly available, or try to bypass logins, paywalls, robots.txt or other access controls; (e) interfere with the security or operation of the Service or any website, including by introducing malware, probing for vulnerabilities, overloading systems, or scraping or reverse-engineering the Service itself; or (f) collect personal data about individuals. You are responsible for making sure the pages you ask us to monitor are ones you are entitled to have checked.

6. Intellectual property

We own the Service, its software, design and content, and all related intellectual property. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. You keep any rights you have in the information you provide to us.

7. Availability

We work to keep the Service running reliably, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate the acceptable use rules. You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time.

9. Information, not advice

The Service provides information about publicly displayed prices. It is not financial, legal or pricing advice, and you are responsible for your own business decisions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [TODO: governing law, e.g. England and Wales].
